The Strategy Analyst Team Leader plays a pivotal role in driving organizational growth by analyzing data, identifying opportunities, and supporting leadership in strategic decision-making. This role combines analytical expertise with team leadership capabilities, ensuring that strategic initiatives are effectively planned, executed, monitored, and optimized. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker with strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to guide a team towards producing high-quality strategic insights.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Analysis

  1. Conduct in-depth market research, competitor analysis, and industry trend studies to support organizational strategy.
  2. Identify growth opportunities, business challenges, and operational inefficiencies using data-driven insights.
  3. Evaluate business performance through KPIs, dashboards, and financial models.
  4. Support leadership in developing long-term strategic plans, business proposals, and organizational roadmaps.

Project & Team Leadership

  1. Lead a team of analysts by providing direction, assigning tasks, and ensuring timely delivery of strategic reports.
  2. Mentor team members, enhancing their analytical capabilities and professional growth.
  3. Coordinate cross-functional teams to gather data, validate insights, and drive strategic initiatives forward.
  4. Ensure team output meets high standards of accuracy, clarity, and strategic value.

Decision Support & Business Advisory

  1. Prepare detailed business cases, feasibility studies, and ROI analyses for new projects and initiatives.
  2. Present strategic findings, insights, and recommendations to senior leaders and stakeholders.
  3. Support change management processes by analyzing risks, impact, and implementation feasibility.
  4. Offer advisory insights to improve operations, optimize cost structures, and strengthen organizational performance.

Monitoring & Reporting

  1. Track industry trends, regulatory changes, and market risks, providing timely updates.
  2. Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and documentation for ongoing strategic initiatives.
  3. Evaluate outcomes of strategic decisions and provide improvement recommendations.

Process & Innovation

  1. Identify gaps in business processes and recommend data-driven solutions.
  2. Support digital transformation initiatives, automation opportunities, and innovative business practices.
  3. Ensure alignment of strategic initiatives with organizational mission, vision, and future goals.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, Management, Strategy, or a related field.
  2. 4–7 years of experience in strategy analysis, business planning, management consulting, or corporate strategy.
  3. Prior experience leading a team or mentoring analysts is highly preferred.
  4. Experience with BI tools, financial modeling, and statistical analysis.
  5. Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, Business Analytics, Strategic Management, PMP, or similar credentials are an added advantage.
