The Video Editor / Motion Graphic Designer – Team Leader will oversee the creative video production process, from concept to final delivery. The role involves leading a team of editors and designers, ensuring high-quality output and maintaining brand consistency across all visual content. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise in video editing and motion graphics with strong leadership and creative direction skills.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead and manage a creative team of video editors, animators and motion graphic designers, ensuring smooth coordination and creative alignment across all projects.
  2. Plan, conceptualize, and produce high-impact videos, including reels, advertisements, promotional films, corporate videos, educational content and brand campaigns.
  3. Design and animate advanced motion graphics, such as intros, transitions, kinetic typography, explainer graphics, lower thirds, and visual effects that enhance storytelling and viewer engagement.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including creative, marketing, digital and content departments, to develop compelling visual concepts and campaign ideas.
  5. Supervise video shoots, monitor technical quality, guide camera operators, ensure optimal lighting, framing and adherence to creative guidelines.
  6. Oversee project timelines, delegate tasks effectively, and ensure all deliverables meet deadlines without compromising creative or technical quality.
  7. Review drafts and final outputs, providing constructive feedback to ensure clarity, creativity, accuracy and brand consistency.
  8. Manage the post-production pipeline, including editing, color correction, sound mixing, compositing and exporting videos in required formats.
  9. Maintain a structured media library, organizing raw footage, project files, templates, sound effects, graphic assets and final video outputs.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends, new techniques, AI-based tools, software advancements, and emerging visual storytelling formats.
  11. Ensure compliance with brand guidelines, maintaining consistency in tone, visual style, color palette, typography, and identity across all video content.
  12. Drive creative innovation, encouraging new ideas, experimentation, and high production standards within the team.

 

Required Skills 

Video Editing Skills

  1. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve
  2. Strong command of pacing, transitions, storytelling structure and editing aesthetics
  3. Ability to work with multiple camera angles, green screens, multi-track editing and synced audio

Motion Graphics & Animation

  1. Expertise in Adobe After Effects, including compositing, keying, rotoscoping and motion tracking
  2. Understanding of 2D/3D animation workflows (Cinema 4D, Blender preferred but not mandatory)
  3. Ability to create visually appealing animations, intros, overlays, and dynamic visual elements

Design & Creative Skills

  1. Strong understanding of color theory, typography, composition and visual hierarchy
  2. Ability to translate creative briefs into stunning visual output
  3. Aesthetic awareness and attention to detail in design and motion

Sound & Visual Quality

  1. Skills in sound editing, noise reduction, audio mixing and integration of voiceovers or background scores
  2. Experience with color grading (Lumetri Color, Resolve panels) to enhance visual tone and style
  3. Knowledge of export settings, codecs, aspect ratios, compression methods and delivery formats

 

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Film Editing, Animation, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia or Media Studies
  2. 4–6 years of professional experience in video editing and motion graphics, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership role
  3. A strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating advanced editing, motion graphics and creative direction
  4. Experience working with corporate brands, agencies or digital marketing teams
  5. Familiarity with photography, cinematography basics, lighting techniques and directing small video shoots

60,000 - 90,000 INR
